Linz on the Rhine, the "Colorful City on the Rhine" is in the lower Middle Rhine Valley at the edge of the Westerwald towards the Mouth of the Ahr and belongs to Rhineland-Palatinate. It has colorful half-timbered houses, especially on the market square and on Burgplatz.
