Lipot is a village in Hungarian County Győr-Moson-Sopron. It's up to the Danubethat is the limit here Slovakia forms. Part of the municipality is on the Small Schüttinsel. The place is known for its thermal baths.

The nearest airports are Bratislava (approx. 65 km) and Vienna (85 km).

By train

Lipót is 14 km from the train station Kimle-Károlyháza away. Regional trains stop there every hour Gyor-Hegyeshalom, also direct regional express (EURegio) every two hours Vienna. At the train station, 20 km away Mosonmagyaróvár stops the RailJet Vienna–Budapest.

Lipót is 17 km (via small back roads) from Mosonmagyaróvár. The next motorway junctions on the M1 (Vienna – Győr – Budapest) are number 160 Mosonmagyaróvár or No. 142 Lébény – Mecsér, of which there are still 20 km on the road to Lipót.

The next road crossing over the Danube is approx. 20 km away at Medveďov / Vámosszabadi.

There is a passenger ferry across the Danube between Gabčíkovo (Slovakia) and Dunaremete (3 km north of Lipót).

By bicycle

The official route of the Danube Cycle Path (Vienna – Budapest) does not lead directly through Lipót, but at a distance of about 3 kilometers past the place (through the neighboring communities Darnózseli and Hédervár). But you can easily make a detour here: via the narrow, lightly traveled, chestnut-lined road Darnózseli – Lipót.
