Lotte is a city in Tecklenburger Land.

The Lotte community can actually be counted as part of the Osnabrück agglomeration, but is still in the Steinfurt district of North Rhine-Westphalia. The municipality consists of five smaller localities:

  • Lotte (old Lotte)
  • Büren
  • Osterberg
  • Halen
  • Wersen

The oldest settlement finds are in Wersen and are of the funnel beaker culture from the 4th millennium BC. attributable to.   • 1 Evangelical Church Lotte - The church dates from 1315. The baroque organ case from 1684 is particularly worth seeing.
  • 2 Osterberg Monastery - The monastery was founded in 1410 and existed until 1633. Today, the former bakery is the only building left. The rest of the area was built over by an estate.
