Mulfingen is a municipality in the Jagsttal in the Hohenloher level.
background
Mulfingen was first mentioned in a document in 980. In 1489 Mulfingen received market rights from the Würzburg monastery. After secularization, Mulfingen came to the Principality of Hohenlohe for a few years, and in 1806 the place became part of Württemberg.
The formerly independent municipalities of Ailringen, Buchenbach, Eberbach, Hollenbach, Jagstberg, Simprechtshausen and Zaisenhausen have belonged to the municipality of Mulfingen since 1975.
Mulfingen is known nationwide through the company ebmpapst, which is regarded as the global innovation leader in fans and motors. Another important employer is the company JAKO, which produces jerseys and team sportswear in the district of Hollenbach.
