Geographical notes
It is located 14 km from Bolzano and 16 from Merano and is the southernmost municipality of Burgraviato Its climate is particularly mild, so vineyards, orchards and rose gardens abound in Nalles and its surroundings, in fact it is also known as the land of roses.
Background
Nalles was located on a famous Roman road, the Via Claudia Augusta, as evidenced by the remains of a Roman house discovered only in the autumn of 2005, whose excavations have been underway since the spring of 2006. What see
- Castel del Cigno. The building was renovated in the 16th century, giving it a typical Oltradige style.
- The name of the castle (the swan) is also present in the coat of arms of the owners at the time, the Boymont-Payrsbergs.
