The Pha Taem National Park(Thai: อุทยานแห่งชาติ ผา แต้ม) is a national park in the province Ubon Ratchathani in the northeast region of Thailand, the so-called Isan. Pha Taem National Park was declared a national park on December 31, 1991, making it the 74th national park in Thailand. Pha Taem extends in parts of the Amphoe Khong Chiam, Si Mueang Mai and Pho Sai over an area of about 340 square kilometers. In the east, the Pha Taem borders Laos and the Mekong over a length of 63 kilometers.

The landscape is generally hilly, but it also has numerous rock formations that lead to the Dongrek Mountains belong. The rocks and cliffs are mostly made of sandstone. Most of the waters from here flow into the Mekong. The park is located at an average altitude of 100 to 600 meters.

Pha Taem exhibits mainly dry Dipterocarpus-Forests with tree species like Shorea obtusa from the genus Shorea and the family of Wing fruit plants on. Evergreen plants settle near the water. There are also two pine forests here.
Animal kingdom
Species such as the TaxaDeer, Malaysian glider (Cynocephalus variegatus), Patchwork as Serau make up the fauna of the national park.

The climate is tropical-monsoonal. The rainy season is between June and September, October to February is the cool season and March to May is dry and hot.

The most important sights of Pha Taem are the approximately 300 petroglyphs stretching over 180 meters, the age of which is estimated to be 3000 to 4000 years. This makes them the largest collection of rock carvings in the world. It shows utensils for fishing, people and animals (elephants, fish, dogs). Not far away are cliffs of Pha Chek and Pha Moeiwhich also have rock carvings.
Other attractions are
- Pha Chanadai - a rock with an evergreen pine forest and beautiful views over the Mekong after Laos
- Phu Krabo - a cliff with bizarre rock formations
- Soi Sawan - waterfall formed by two streams
- Phu Long or "Sargberg" - coffin-like niches in the rock were used for burial
