East A4 motorway

The A4 east motorway is an Austrian motorway that runs from Vienna (Vienna Belt) via the Vienna Prater node, Schwechat, the Airport Wien-Schwechat and Bruck an der Leitha to the AustrianHungarian Limit at Nickelsdorf leads and there in the Hungarian M1 motorway passes that after Budapest leads. In the European context, it forms a section of Europastraße 60 and up to the junction of Northeast Highway A6 to Bratislava also the Europastraße 58.

The length of the motorway is 66 km.

particularities

Like (almost) all Austrian motorways, the "Ost Autobahn" is also vignette required! The mileage count (and parallel to it the counting of the connection points) begins in Vienna and increases to the Hungarian border.

traffic

The motorway is not only important for traffic to Hungary, but also as an access to Vienna / Schwechat Airport and therefore in the Schwechat and Fischamend expanded to six lanes. The branches at the Bruckneudorf junction Northeast Highway A6 to Bratislava from. A quick connection to the South highway and direction West Highway (about the Vienna outer ring motorway A21) and the Vösendorf junction is via the Vienna outer ring expressway to the Schwechat junction.
