Pays de Ribeauvillé (official: Communauté de communes du pays de Ribeauvillé et Riquewihr) is a community association in Alsatian Department Haut-Rhin. The administrative seat of the association is Ribeauvillé, which is also roughly in the geographical center of the region.

The Communauté de communes de Pays de Ribeauvillé et Riquewihr is from 1996 from the previously existing Zweckverband SIVOM de Ribeauvillé and environs which was founded in 1967. The seat of the association is Ribeauvillé.

The number after the locations in the list above gives an indication of the attractiveness of the locations: It shows the number of im Concours des villes et villages fleuris ("Competition of cities and towns decorated with flowers").
On top of that, Hunawihr and Riquewihr have been awarded the cultural and historical distinction as one of the most beautiful villages in France (Les plus beaux villages de France).

By plane

  • The nearest international airport (Aéroport de Strasbourg) is located in Strasbourg-Entzheim, about 40 kilometers north of Ribeauvillé.
  • A smaller airfield (Aérodrome de Strasbourg-Neuhof) is that of Strasbourg-Neuhof, about 3 kilometers south of the center.

By bus

Since January 2013 there is Allo'Bus, a kind of "call bus". The price is 2 euros for a one-way trip.

In the street

The north-south link running through eastern Alsace, the N 83, also crosses the territory of the Verbandsgemeinde. This road, partly also referred to as D 83, is also part of the road to be completed A35 (L'Alsacienne or Autoroute des Cigognes) between Colmar and Sélestat.

The area with an extension of about 12 km in north-south direction and 17 km in east-west direction lies in the relatively flat Rhine plain, interspersed with a few hills, and can therefore be easily explored by bike. Exceptions are the towns of Aubure and Thannenkirch, which are located on the slopes of the Vosges.

The cycle path runs through the association's territory Véloroute du vignoble d'Alsace as part of the "EuroVelo 15" (The Veloroute Rhin however, runs along the Rhine without affecting the association area.).
