Riom is a town located in the department of Puy de Dome, in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, in France.

Riom is one of the four administrative centers of the Puy-de-Dôme district, located between the Limagne plain and the Puys range (Auvergne volcanoes), in 14 km in the north of Clermont-Ferrand. Former capital of the province of Auvergne, Riom is now classified as a “city of art and history”.

By car
In the city center, the municipality established a meeting zone in 2013, limiting the speed of vehicles to 20 km / h and giving priority to pedestrians. Two-way cycling are authorized with some exceptions.
Parking lots
In the city center, parking is paid from Monday to Friday from 9 h To 12 h and of 14 h 30 To 18 h 30. This zone, delimited by the departmental roads 2029 to the west, 224 to the south and to the east, and 224C to the north, is indicated by signs indicating at the same time the meeting zone and the existence of a double- cycle direction. The first thirty (30) minutes are free.

Since 1er January 2018, the amount of the post-parking package (FPS) amounts to 30 € (16 € in case of payment within 48 h).
