Tourist Attractions
- 1 Chapelle des Cordeliers (In the Cordeliers Chapel is the monumental, 12 meter high Marc Chagall window with the title "La Paix"), rue Napoléon. A must for all Chagall friends! In 1970 it was decided to demolish the dilapidated building adjacent to the chapel. The remains of the chapel were then restored. As a result of the demolition, the chapel was open to the east. Marc Chagall was commissioned to close the opening with a stained glass window. In 1976 the monumental window, which has peace as a motif, and other side windows were completed. The peace window measures 12 meters in height, 7.5 meters in width and weighs 900 kilograms. The stained glass was implemented by Chagall in collaboration with Charles Marq. Today the chapel serves as a museum for the Chagall windows and is part of the Marc Chagall museum course of the city of Sarrebourg. Photography is prohibited in the chapel!
