How to get around
What see
- Church of Santa Maria Maddalena. The current church in Gothic style with a single nave was built starting from 1749 on an area where the previous church stood. The polygonal dome was frescoed in 1956 by the painter Vittorio Manini.
- Church of San Pietro. Dating back to the 13th century, it was the only church in the town until 1570. Noteworthy are the frescoes of the Madonna enthroned with child and of San Giorgio and San Defendente del Romanino.
- Ancient oratory of San Michele Arcangelo (Chiesone).
- Sanctuary of the Madonna of Cortinca. Built to thank the Madonna for saving the town from the plague of 1630, it was decorated and embellished in the following years and hosts an important festival every year on July 2nd.
- Villa Fenaroli. Dating back to the 16th century, it has a botanical garden where rare plants or plants from other climates grow.
- Villas Capuani, loc. furnaces. It was built starting from 1920 on a design by E. Suardo who also designed the perfectly preserved garden.
- Medieval Tower. Only remnant of the fortified castle of the Fenaroli, was transformed into a bell tower in 1954.
- Oratory of S. Michele, Cambianica. Romanesque style oratory characterized by a facade without entrance and a frescoed interior.
Events and parties
- Patronal feast. 2nd of July.
- Sardine Festival. Every year in early July.
- Naét D'Or. Popular lakeside event, it is the championship of the typical boats of Lake Iseo, "i Naèc". Young talents and old masters of the coastal towns compete with each other, nourishing this tradition year after year and comparing strength and experience.
- The Grotto of Santa Claus. December 15.
