Apart from the horseshoe-shaped stables built in XVIII^e century, the Saint-Hubert chapel and some archaeological excavations behind the latter, very little remains of this castle. Majestic entrance door to the Forest of Soignes, it currently has an area of ​​approximately 190 hectares, 207 ha if we count theAfricaMuseum and the lawns that surround it, and was created by order of the king Leopold II in order to accommodate part of theUniversal Exhibition of 1897, the other party stood in the Cinquantenaire park. Flemish Renaissance style, hence its nickname Spanish house, its first written mention dates from XIII^e century. So architecturally, it constitutes a fine example of the beginning of the baroque with its contrasting use of red brick and white stone, the interior furnishings are of little interest.
