Vietnam National Road 1A crosses the province. The trains on the long north-south route between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City keep in Huế. Vietnam's fourth largest airport Phu Bài is 15 kilometers south of Huế. The province has two ports: Thuan An Port and Chan May Port.
