The city of Ulmen lies exactly between Koblenz and trier and with its 3,600 inhabitants it is the largest town in the Ulmen community. Picturesquely located around the Ulmener Maar and the Jungferweiher, you can start wonderful hiking tours from here, watch birds at the pond or bike rides through the Eifel Companies.

By plane

Elms is from that Frankfurt-Hahn Airport (approx. 56 km), Cologne Bonn Airport (about 115km) and Frankfurt Airport (approx. 161 km) easy to reach. Travel times are between 1 and 1.5 hours. From Cologne / Bonn and Frankfurt / Main you can take the train to Cochem (Mosel) or Gerolstein (Vulkaneifel) and then take the bus for the rest of the way.

By train

Ulmen has its own train station, but there is no regular train service from there. Therefore it is recommended after Gerolstein or Cochem to drive and then take the bus to Ulmen.

By bus

There is regular bus service to Cochem and Down.

In the street

Ulmen is close to the motorway and can be easily reached by car. From Koblenz you drive the A48 Direction Dreieck Vulkaneifel, exit Ulmen. From Trier take the A1 in the direction of Koblenz, at the Vulkaneifel motorway triangle, take the A48 and then take the first exit.
