The oblast Vladimir (Russian: Владимирская область) located in Central Russia. It is surrounded by the oblasts Moscow, Yaroslavl, Ivanovo, Nizhny Novgorod and Ryazan.

Vladimir Oblast is located east of Moscow and has a population of around 1.5 million. It is traversed from west to east by the Kljasma (Клязьма), which flows into the Oka.
