Alexandrov (Russian: Александров) is a city in Central Russia and counts to Golden ring.
background
The city was founded in the 16th century by the prince Vasily III expanded to a residence. Under the rule of his son Ivan Grozny, known to us as Ivan the Terrible, was the suburb Alexandrovskaya Sloboda the residence of the Russian tsars for a few years. This is also where his notorious bodyguard, the Oprichnina.

The suburb Alexandrovskaya Sloboda (Александровская Слобода) belongs to a nature reserve. There are several churches on the site
- Trinity Cathedral (Troitskaya). Made of white stone, decorated with reliefs. The gate of the church is fire-gilded.
- Crucifixion Church. The first should be from her bell tower Russian Icarus jumped off while attempting to fly. He survived, but the angry Tsar Ivan Grozny had him executed for it.
