Myshkin (Russian: Мышкин) is a small town on the Volga in Central Russia.

The small town Myshkin lies on a hill on the western bank of the Volga. The name means Mouse city and goes back to a legend after a mouse saved the life of a prince.

Myshkin has no direct rail link. The next train station is in Volga-Stanziya.

In the street
- Of Uglich a road leads directly to Myshkin, a distance of around 40 km.
- In summer, a ferry crosses the Volga every hour, then Myshkin is easily accessible from just under 100 km away Yaroslavl'to the second major city of the Yaroslavl Oblast' Rybinsk it is almost 50 km. In winter only the detour via Uglich helps, then it is almost 150 km to Yaroslavl, to Rybinsk it is better to drive to the Volga station and from there by train. If the ice cover is thick enough, the route is sometimes taken directly across the Volga.
