Pereslavl-Zalessky (Russian: Переславль-Залесский) is a city in Central Russia.

The city of Pereslavl-Zalessky lies roughly in the middle between Yaroslavl and Moscow on the bank of the Pleshcheyevo Lake. It was founded in 1152. At that time the Transfiguration Cathedral and the Kremlin. Here on Lake Pleschtschejewo, Peter the Great had the first smaller ships built, which served as a model for his fleet.
