Wutach is a municipality in the nature park Southern Black Forest, it is due to the Wutach Gorge.

Wutach was created in 1975 through the amalgamation of the formerly independent municipalities Ewattingen, Lembach and Münchingen. North of Ewattingen is probably one of the most beautiful sections of the gorge, it stretches from the confluence of the Gauchach gorge to the Wutachknie near Achdorf.

Neighboring communities of Wutach are Bonndorf, Stuehlingen, Blumberg, Hüfingen and Loeffingen.
