The stretch from Grimmelshofen along the Wutachflühe to Blumberg, and further along the Schleifebächle via Achdorf is the least traveled section of the Wutachschlucht; this section corresponds to most of the first two stages of the Schluchtensteig and has to be done in two daily stages if you don't shorten the route.

At the 1 Gasthaus Wutachschlucht at the former Lausheim-Blumegg stop the Wutachtalbach near 1 Grimmelshofen the hike leads into the Wutach Gorge. In the 1 Railway bridge the Wutach is crossed. Then the path leads slowly uphill as a narrow path through the Wutachflüh nature reserve past the Mannheimer Felsen, the 2 Lintel and the 3 Bagpiper dobel to the lookout point 4 Anger flare. (see abbreviation)

The designated Schluchtensteig route runs on 1 Hikers' car park Wutachfluchten pass briefly along the county road 5742, under the railway line, and then turn left up to the 5 Ottilienhöhe. Then it goes uphill to the summit of the 6 Buchbergs (open refuge). From there, the hike initially leads steeply downhill 2 Blumberg, the town center is reached via Friedhofstraße.

Of From Blumberg, the path initially leads partly over stairs and ladders through the small gorge of the Schleifenbach (7 Schleifenbachklamm) with its waterfall and then back to the Wutach, which is reached again shortly before Achdorf.

Of 3 Achdorf up to the Wutachmühle the valley is wide. To 4 Aselfingen the Schluchtensteig runs to the right of the Wutach, while the cross path to the left of the Wutach is signposted. Shortly after Aselfingen at the 8 Wutach Bridge Aselfingen Both paths come together again and then run together to the left of the Wutach.

The 9 Wutachmühle, which is reached after about four kilometers, is now just a sawmill. The former inn is not managed; at the 2 Wutachmühle hiking car park on the other side of the Wutach, however, there is one kiosk.

The fact that the access road was destroyed by a huge landslide on the north bank in 2017 is also a reason that no more activities will be resumed in the area of the former Bad Boll.

Since the Schluchtensteig route on the south bank was destroyed by the landslide, 16 crosses one here on the other side of the river and continues on the Münzlochweg. At the former Dietfurt-Hof and the 17 Dietfurt Bridge stay on the north side of the Wutach and pass the 18 Veil fall at the Schelmenhalde to Shadow mill.
