Ah is a small town of the volcanic Hegaus at the transition of the Hegau-Alb in the north to Singers Lowland in the south. Aach is best known for the Aachtopf (also Aachquelle), the largest karst spring in Germany.

Aach was first mentioned in a document in 1100 and has had city rights since 1283. The old town is on a hill, the lower town or Aach village is in the valley on the Radolfzeller Aach.

By train

- The 1 Aachtopf (also called Aachquelle) is the main attraction of the city. It is the largest karst spring in Germany with an average discharge of 8,300 l / sec, a maximum of 24,100 l / sec, and a minimum of 1,300 l / sec. The water wells up from an 18 m deep cave. The source is fed by the water of the Sinking of the Danube, which is mainly at Immendingen disappears into subterranean karst caves and reappears after approx. 12 km underground in the Aachtopf.
