Bad Schönborn is a community on Bruhrain on the western edge of the Kraichgau in Baden

Bad Schönborn was created in 1971 during the municipal reform from the formerly independent municipalities Bad Mingolsheim and Bad Langenbrücken. The name is reminiscent of Damian Hugo Prince-Bishop of Schönbornwho in the near Bruchsal resided. It was he who had Kislau Castle in Mingolsheim transformed into a hunting lodge.
The sulphurous water in both districts has been used for bathing since the 18th century, and since 1964 and 1965, both places have been allowed to adorn themselves with the title "Bad". Soon thereafter, thermal brine springs were found in both places when drilling.
In addition to the towns of Mingolsheim and Langenbrücken, the town is within sight and calling distance Kronau. The community, which is still independent today, is part of an administrative community with Bad Schönborn.
