Bernkastel-Kues is a city on the Middle Moselle in Rhineland-Palatinate.

The wine towns of Kues and Bernkastel, which merged in 1905, are located in the deeply cut Moselle valley, where the Moselle makes a large loop so that Kues lies on the tip of a headland.
The district of Bernkastel with its historical center is on the right (east), Kues on the left side of the Moselle and is about 50 km from trier away.

Tourist Attractions
Particularly worth seeing is the medieval market square in Bernkastel with its centuries-old half-timbered houses, the Renaissance town hall from 1608, the St. Michaels fountain from 1606, the Heinz house and the narrow "Spitzhäuschen" from 1416.

The majority of the shops are located in the pedestrian zone in the Bernkastel district. There is also a small supermarket (Mosel-Shop, Alte Römerstr. 8). Larger supermarket branches can be found in the Kues district (Edeka, Aldi, Lidl, Rewe). Bonbon Willi (pedestrian zone) is definitely worth seeing. There candies are made in a historical way.
