Bruehl in the Rhineland is a city between Cologne and Bonn in the Rhein-Erft district in North Rhine-Westphalia.

On the left-hand side of the Rhine, the trains of the regional transport lines RE 5 between Cologne and Bonn stop (Wesel - Dusseldorf - Cologne - Bonn - Koblenz), RB 26 (Cologne Messe / Deutz - Bonn - Koblenz - Mainz) and RB 48 (Wuppertal- Poor mercy - Solingen - Cologne - Bonn-Mehlem). All lines run every hour, the RB 48 line runs every 30 minutes during rush hour. The station is only partially barrier-free (stair lifts only in operation during the opening times of the adjacent bike station) and is to be rebuilt in the next few years.
The train station is located directly at the back of Augustusburg Palace, and the ways to the city center are accordingly short. Various regional bus and city transport lines as well as the express bus to the Phantasialand amusement park also stop here.
Eifel route

The market and the adjacent streets Kölnstraße, Uhlstraße and Steinweg are designated as pedestrian zones. There is a diverse mix of retail outlets here, and the market hosts a fresh produce market every Wednesday. More shops can be found in the Giesler Galerie at the southern end of the pedestrian zone.
Further retail stores have opened at Balthasar-Neumann-Platz in the western city center. There is also a weekly market every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
