Tourist Attractions

Schwärzenlift Eschach

Anyone who chooses the Kreuzweg from the center of the village to the Buchenberg (approx. 1000m) will be rewarded with a wonderful mountain panorama from the Zugspitze to the Säntis. The climatic health resort is located on the old Roman road Cambodunum (Kempten) - Brigantium (Bregenz) and there is another preserved part to visit. The classicistic local church was built in 1792 instead of a late medieval church and is worth seeing in addition to many lovely chapels. One attraction is the Wasserschmecker-Weg on the outskirts. For Allgäu dowsers who feel and find water veins are those who love water. The layman can try out for himself during guided tours whether he too can feel the water veins in the earth faults. The forest hiking trail is equipped with display boards that explain how geologists determine different earth faults and why there are stronger radiation in such places.
