O Bhutan[1] is a small country in the Himalayas, in the South Asia, between the China and the India.

In addition to the stunning natural scenery, the architecture takes many travelers to the country. All buildings, whether large monasteries, private homes and even gas stations, need to conform to traditional design. The nation is also the bastion of Vajrayana Buddhism, and the teachings of this tradition influence every aspect of life in the kingdom.

Understand

To arrive

Citizens of all nationalities, except Indians, must apply for a visa at least 30 days in advance. The cost is $20 for a 14-day visit and can be extended once. However, the visa is not given until the visitation reservations are paid with tourist agencies, which cost around US$ 200 per day, including accommodation, meal, guide and transportation. Visits are managed by private companies, but the rate is set by the government and is non-negotiable. They are a little cheaper in low season and for groups. Once the visitation is paid, visas are given at the only two points of entry into the country: at immigration at the airport in stop or at the bus station in the city of Phuentsholing. A third point, between Samdrup Jongkhar and assam, in India, is only used to leave the country. It is not necessary to go to a consulate, which by the way are few in the world:

The company does not sell tickets without a tourist visa number.

These buses depart from terrace from Kolkata at 7pm on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, and from the Bhutan post office in Phuentsholing at 3pm on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, and it takes 6pm to reach the destination.
