background

Green spelled is made from the unripe grains of spelled; this grain makes less demands on the climate and soil than other types. For this reason, green spelled has been and is being produced in building land in northern Baden-Württemberg for generations, a rural and sparsely populated hilly landscape. The Grünkern cycle path has a total length of around 110 km with 2 sections and can be easily combined with other cycle paths

preparation

Due to its length, the Grünkern Cycle Path can either be ridden through one route in one day or in two days. Walldürn is a suitable place to stay, and Möckmühl in the Jagsttal also offers good opportunities in this regard.

getting there

Public transportation

There are rail connections in Rosenberg and Boxberg to the Frankenbahn between Heilbronn and Wurzburg. Walldürn is on the Madonnenlandbahn between Miltenberg and Seckach.

By bicycle

The Grünkern cycle path is linked to the Kocher-Jagst cycle path, the Franconian Radachter and the Sculpture bike path and is therefore well suited for combining these routes.

In the street

The route of the Grünkern cycle path is taken from the A81 crossed, so arriving by car is quite possible.
