Heddesheim is a municipality in the region Electoral Palatinate.

The first settlements in the Heddesheim district can be found in the time 100 AD. prove when the neighboring town of Ladenburg was founded by the Romans. The first documentary mention is found in 917 under the name "Hetenesheim" in the Lorsch Codex. Agriculture was the main source of income for the Heddesheim population for a long time.
