Geographical notes

Hrádek nad Nisou is located at the foot of the Lusatian Mountains (Czech: Lužické hory / German: Lausitzer Gebirge) .The Lausitzer Neiße (Czech: Lužická Nisa) that on the border with the neighboring municipality of Hartau at 234 m (768 ft) of altitude reached the border with Germany.
