Greek islands is a region of the Greece.

The Greek islands are 1⁄5 of the Greek surface, equal to 25,000 km² (like the Sicily). Their number, including the islets, exceeds 3000 units; of these only 127 are inhabited.
Territories and tourist destinations
Northern Sporades - Of the Northern Sporades the group consisting of Skied (Skiathos), Alonnisos (Alonissos), Find out (Skopelos) is Sciro (Skyros), the latter in a secluded position compared to the previous three.
Northern Aegean Islands - Dell 'Northern Aegean they are part of Samo, Lesbos, Lemnos, Next to the coast of the fruit salad is the island of Thasos, frequented by tourists from Eastern Europe and the Balkan area. Samothrace is located off the coast of Western Thrace and can be reached by ferry from Alexandroupolis (Alexandroupoli).
Ionian Islands - They are part of it Corfu, Step, Antipasso, Lefkada, Kefalonia, Ithaca, Zakynthos (Zakynthos). The group sometimes includes the island of Kythira, for historical reasons. It was in fact submitted like the others to Venice until the fall of the Serenissima with the treaty of Campoformio.
