Kruszyniany is a historical place in the polish Voivodeship Podlaskie. It is in the historical region Traken in the Highlands of Białystok. The Tatar minority lives here and maintains one of the oldest mosques in Poland. The Tatars already lived here in the Polish-Lithuanian aristocratic republic and are of the Muslim faith. They have belonged to the lower Polish nobility since the 17th century. The Tatars speak Polish, but use the Arabic script instead of the Latin one.
