background

Signs for the Kraichgau-Stromberg wine route

Kürnbach lies on the western edge of the Strombergs in the valley of the Humsterbach. The river flows through the place Kraichbachthat the Kraichgau gives the name. In the history of the place there were two owners for several centuries, on the one hand the place was Hessian, on the other hand it was first from Württemberg, later from Baden. Today Kürnbach belongs to the district of Karlsruhe.

The village is a wine-growing community, it refers to itself as Black Riesling village. Due to the previous ownership structure, Kürnbach has two historic wine press buildings, the Bathing grandparents and the Hessenkelter. Of course, the place is also on the Kraichgau-Stromberg wine route.
