Landeck is the district capital and transport hub in the west Tyrol, and lies in Upper Inn Valley at the confluence of the Sanna and the Inn.

The small town of Landeck is the district capital of the district of the same name, the districts are Angedair, Perfuchs, Perfuchsberg, Perjen and Bruggen. The town of Landeck was only created in 1900 through the merger of the towns of Angedair, Perfuchs, Perfuchsberg, Sanna, Perjen and Bruggen.

By plane
The nearest international airports are the Innsbruck Airport (Distance approx. 72 km, 45 minutes drive) and north of Munich the Munich Airport (also "Franz Josef Strauss", distance approx. 204 km).
By train
The city is on the Arlberg railway line (innsbruck - Bludenz).
The Landeck-Zams train station is the end point for regional trains innsbruck, Station at the Arlbergbahn and as a through station also a stop for all international trains in long-distance traffic Vienna, Salzburg, Bregenz and Zurich.
The train station is located between Landeck and Zams and approx. 2 kilometers northeast of the center of Landeck. Continue to the center of Landeck by bus, taxi or on foot.
In the street
Landeck is located on the Inntal motorway, which is subject to toll, or the Arlberg Schnellstraße from Landeck. To the northeast of the city, the Reschenstrasse branches off from the motorway at the Oberinntal junction and through the Landecker Tunnel to the Reschenpass (181). From Germany, the toll-free journey is via the Fernpass route (Munich - Garmisch - Imst) and from Imst still possible for around 20 km on the busy country road (B 171, Tiroler Bundesstraße).
The Landecker bypass tunnel is vignette required. If you do not have a vignette for the Austrian motorways, you should drive through the city of Landeck. Danger: The official signs to the Reschenpass lead through the tunnel (so don't pay attention and drive straight ahead towards Zams). There are often controls at the tunnel.

- Visit of the Alpine coaster at Imst. With 3535 m the summer toboggan run is said to be the longest in the world. The difference in altitude of 500 m is covered uphill by chairlift. The starting point of the train is Hochimst at an altitude of 1050 m. Those who are sporty can also hike uphill to the starting point of the toboggan run on the Untermarkter-Alm (located at an altitude of 1550 m). From the beautifully situated Alm you have a beautiful view of the valley towards the Inn valley. The Alpin Coaster toboggan run is also in operation in winter. A trip is also possible in moderately wet summer weather: Some of the chairlift has seats with foldable weather protection hoods and the two-man bobsleighs on the toboggan run are equipped with weather protection sheds that keep out the roughest rain.
- A visit to the summer toboggan run can also be combined with a tour of the Rose Garden Gorge connect between Imst and Hochimst. Those who hike uphill should start in Imst at an altitude of 800 m and include a gorge tour in the tour.
- The surrounding mountains are the Silvretta and the Lechtal Alps.
