Lion's Arch is a city in Heilbronner Land. It extends from Sulmtal to the Löwenstein mountains, these are part of the Swabian-Franconian Forest.

Löwenstein is a state-approved resort and is located at the foot of the Löwenstein mountains named after the city. The formerly independent community of Hößlinsülz as well as the hamlets of Altenhau with the eventual conference center Löwenstein, Reisach and Rittelhof, the former monastery Lichtenstern, Teusserbad, Hirrweiler with the sanatorium Löwenstein and several other places to live belong to Löwenstein. The Breitenauer See lies partly on the city limits.

The neighboring towns in the district of Heilbronn are Beilstein, Untergruppenbach, Obersulm and Desert red. More neighbors are Bretzfeld (Hohenlohekreis) and Prevorst, district of Oberstenfeld (District of Ludwigsburg).

By train

The next train stations are in Weinsberg and Heilbronn. There are other ways to get on and off the tram with the S 4 tram, for example in Obersulm.

In the street

The B39that of Weinberg to Mainhardt leads. The A81 leads west past Löwenstein. The next driveway Symbol: AS 10 Weinsberg-Ellhofen and Symbol: AS 11 Untergruppenbach are each approx. 10 km away.

  • A popular meeting place for motorcyclists is the 1 plate 2 km east of the city on the B39, from here you have a beautiful view of the Sulmtal, a hiking trail leads to the castle ruin. There is a kiosk on the plate. The approach to the Platte through the Löwenstein Mountains is very popular with some people because of their winding route. But be careful: a number of serious accidents have already happened.
