Neuenstein (Hohenlohe) is a city in Baden-Wuerttemberg.

Neuenstein is located in the Hohenlohe plain on the edge of the Waldenburg mountains. Neuenstein was first mentioned in a document around 1230, received city rights in 1351 and was the residence of the Counts of Hohenlohe-Neuenstein from 1553 to 1698. Neuenstein came to Württemberg in 1806.

Since the municipal reform in 1971-1975, the formerly independent villages of Kirchensall, Kleinhirschbach, Obersöllbach, Eschelbach, Kesselfeld and Grünbühl have been districts of Neuenstein.
