background
The cycle path leads along the Franconian Line, a geological fault, from Kronach to the southeast towards Bayreuth and into the Main Valley. The former dangerous gap on the B 303 between Seibelsdorf and Rugendorf was closed in 2013. There are still small gaps between Zettlitz and Stadtsteinach, but you can avoid them on the sidewalk. Overall, the cycle path is now highly recommended and is also suitable for families. In Stadtsteinach there are various secret routes to avoid having to drive on the B 303. For the return journey to Kronach you can use the train from Untersteinach via Lichtenfels.
