Tarnowskie Góry(German: Tarnowitz) is a historic mining town in the polish Voivodeship Silesia at the drama in the Upper Silesian industrial area GOP on the Silesian plateau. The city is in the historical Upper Silesia in the sphere of influence of Or. The city, which developed into one of the leading mining towns in Central Europe as early as the end of the Middle Ages, is particularly known for its show mines, the largest of which is UNESCO World Heritage Site.

By plane
The closest international Airport is located north of Katowice at the Autostrada A1. Further international airports are located at Wroclaw at the Autostrada A18 and Krakow at the Autostrada A4.
By train

The road network is well developed.
The A4 runs from Germany and also from Poland Autostrada A4 means to the limit. Then you can take the motorway at the motorway junction with the Autostrada A1 leave to the north. The city is located directly on the A1 motorway.
