Route description

Gudensberg - Niedenstein
The railway cycle path starts at Gudensberg station.

The Tour de Chattengau is a circuit through the three municipalities Gudensberg, Edermünde and Niedenstein in the Chattengau. The cycle path is signposted all year round, but only in one direction, namely counterclockwise. If you ride the cycle route the other way around, you have to pay particular attention to the signposts and, so to speak, rethink a bit, which is also possible. For a detailed cycling map, please simply click on the POIs that will immediately direct you to the described position.

  • Flyer of the Tour de Chattengau - The Tour de Chattengau is only shown in the flyer and on OpenStreetMap. The hiking maps mentioned above show the area, but the cycle route itself is only shown as a normal cycle path, but often not at all. Even in the Hesse cycle route planner, the cycle route as of 05/2014 is still missing. This is probably due to the fact that it was actually only designed for the day of action every second Sunday in September, but that does not change the fact that the Tour de Chattengau is an official cycle path that is signposted all year round.
