Waibstadt is a city in Baden-Wuerttemberg.

Waibstadt lies in the northern Kraichgau on the border to Little Odenwald, also recognizable by the red sandstone facades of numerous older buildings. The place was first mentioned in a document in 795, received city rights around 1200 and became a free imperial city in 1241. However, the city was mostly mortgaged, most recently to the Electoral Palatinate. In 1803 she came to Baden. The formerly independent municipality also belongs to Waibstadt Daisbach. Waibstadt belongs to Well region, a small recreational area in the Schwarzbachtal.
