By plane
The airport of Arezzo, located in Molin Bianco, is a small infrastructure not open to airliners but only to small private planes.
By car
The main road infrastructure that serves the Arezzo area is the A1 motorway, to which it is connected by a short connection that branches off from the urban ring road towards Arezzo. The latter is also touched by important roads: the SR 69 which connects it to Florence crossing all the Valdarno superior; the SP 157 (and SR 73) which connects the localities of Braccagni (GR) e Sansepolcro (AR) passing through Siena and Arezzo; the former SS 71 which connects the towns of Montefiascone is Ravenna passing through Orvieto, Cortona, Arezzo and Cesena. The city is also at the center of the S.G.C. Two Seas Grosseto-Fano, an itinerary still under construction, which nevertheless allows, thanks to the sections already in operation, a faster connection than the ordinary road network with Siena in the South-West and the Tuscan Valtiberina to the northeast.
On the train
The "Slow Line"is one of the main Italian railway lines and, before the construction of the Directly, was an integral part of the fundamental north-south railway axis. This railway connects Florence to Rome passing through the Arezzo area stopping right at Arezzo. Today Arezzo is connected by a link to the direct line, thus ensuring a fast connection to the city and neighboring areas also in the direction Naples or Milan.
There Arezzo-Stia railway (also known as Casentino railway), connects the capital with the valley of Casentino, up to the municipality of Pratovecchio Stia, on the border with Romagna.
There Arezzo-Sinalunga railway (also called Val di Chiana railway) is a railway line that connects Arezzo with the southern part of its province identifiable with the Val di Chiana Arezzo, up to the city of Sinalunga located in the Val di Chiana senese.

Path of the Reclamation - The Bonifica path is a 62 km cycle path in dirt. It develops on the ancient road for the maintenance of the Canale maestro della Chiana, which runs along its banks, between the cities of Arezzo is Closed.
What to do
The Carnival of the Sons of Bocco of Castiglion Fibocchi has little to envy to the infinitely more noble carnival of Venice, from the point of view of quantity and quality of the masks present at the event which every year compete to win the prize for the most beautiful mask. The award ceremony takes place on the last day of carnival at dusk in the city amphitheater, with plays of lights, sounds and a grand finale with fireworks.
L'Arezzo Wave is an Italian festival mainly focused on rock music, held in Arezzo annually in July since 1987. Born as a reference point in Italy for new musical trends, new international proposals and a prestigious springboard for emerging groups, it has lasted up to 6 days, increasing the number of stages in the city, and has hosted an ever increasing number of extra-musical cultural activities. Generally with free admission.
There Joust of the Saracen is an equestrian tournament held twice a year in Arezzo (penultimate Saturday in June and first Sunday in September). Although with medieval origins, it has been disputed, in its modern era, since 1931 and contrasts the four districts into which the city is divided:
- Porta Crucifera district: also known as "Colcitrone"
- Porta del Foro district: also known as "Porta San Lorentino district"
- Porta Sant'Andrea district
- Porta Santo Spirito district: also known as "Quartiere della Colombina" and corresponding to the ancient Porta del Borgo district
There Arezzo antiques fair is the oldest and largest outdoor event dedicated to antiques, modern art and vintageItaly. It was born in June 1968 from an idea of the historic Arezzo antiquarian Ivan Bruschi and, continuously since that date, it is held every first Sunday of the month and the previous Saturday in the streets of the historic center of Arezzo and in Piazza Grande, also known as Piazza Vasari because framed by the Vasarian Loggias.

A particularly tasty dessert from this area often offered on holidays is the gattò all'aretina, also sometimes called Salame Del Re. The word "cat"comes from the French"gateau"which means" cake ". This cake is made up of a roll of sponge cake stuffed with cream, chocolate with alchermes (a syrupy liqueur of Tuscan origin, widespread nowadays throughout Italy).
