The area name Bohemia probably originated from Latin boio-hemum = Home of Boier, which in the course of time honed in Bohemia. These were an immigrant tribe of the Moravier, from today's Moravia, which established itself here where once the Marcomans, a suebischer Tribe of Germanic peoples inhabited.
