Bad Endorf is a spa and market town in the west of the Chiemgau in the southwest of Upper Bavaria.

Endorf is first mentioned in a document as "Zennidorf" in 924, the place is significant due to its location on the Salzstrasse from the Salzburg area to the west.
Endorf has been an independent political municipality since 1803, "Markt" since 1973 and since 1988 the municipality has also been known as "Bad".

The central station in Bad Endorf is a station on the IC / EC line Munich - Salzburg. The Meridian regional trains stop on the same route at least every hour.
The nostalgic MAN rail bus LEO runs from May to October every Sunday and public holiday. He drives via Halfing, Amerang to Obing.

Bad Endorf is located on the state road St2092 Bernau am Chiemsee via Prien a.Chiemsee and Bad Endorf, Wasserburg am Inn to Mühldorf am Inn. The road runs through the village and passes near the center.
- Via the A8 Munich-Salzburg, exit Rosenheim, and continue on the road in the direction of Traunstein / Bad Endorf to Bad Endorf.

Simssee
The Simssee is about 8 km southwest of Bad Endorf.
Eggstätt-Hemhofer Lake District
Almost four kilometers east of Bad Endorf and towards the Chiemsee is the nature reserve of the Eggstätt-Hemhofer Seenplatte with an area of around 1,000 hectares, 18 individual lakes with a total water area of around 3.5 km² and various moors. The area is considered to be one of the most valuable natural landscapes in Bavaria, the lakes owe their formation to the dead ice blocks from the Ice Age: they were formed in the depressions after the ice melted. The clear water lake landscape is characterized by the extreme lack of nutrients and extensive water lily fields, the whole ecosystem is extremely sensitive and increasingly threatened by tourism:
Swimming in the nature reserve is only allowed at the designated bathing areas (Langbürgener See, Hartsee and Stettner See), the use of private boats, rubber dinghies and surfboards is prohibited. Children's playground at Hartsee.
