Bad Goisern on Lake Hallstatt is a health resort (iodine-sulfur spring) and climatic health resort in Upper Austria in the region Dachstein Salzkammergut.

In the 13th century the place was named Gebisharn the first time properly mentioned. In the course of time there have been many changes in the place name from Gebisharn above Geusarn, Gewsern to Geosern. The name Goisern was not used until 1670. Through the accidental discovery of the Iodine-sulfur source when deep drilling in search of salt in the years 1874 to 1880, the survey had to spa and Climatic health resort in 1931 according to.   • 1  Salzkammergut Hand.Werk.Haus, Rudolf-von-Alt-Weg 6. The house was under the Upper Austrian state exhibition 2008 modernized and built. Now there is a shop in it for traditional craft (Hats, jewelry, bags, shoes, gingerbread, etc.) from the region.   • The 4 Chorinskyklause is an old wooden drift system in Weißenbachtal, which was used for demonstration purposes until 2005. The hermitage is a cultural and historical monument from 1819, it was used to swim logs towards the Traun river. The hermitage itself can still be visited.
  • The 5 Heimat- und Landlermuseum is open in the summer months and shows interesting things from the History of the Goiserertal, from riflemen, crafts to folk culture. In 1981 the local history museum was opened in the Goiserermühle move-out house and in 1992 it was expanded to include the Landlermuseum.
  • The 6 Holzknechtmuseum in the Müllnerwäldchen gives an insight into the hard and dangerous work of the lumberjacks. In the Weißenbachtal the "Dürrenholzstube" was demolished and opened as a museum in 1976 after the reconstruction.
