Bad Saulgau is a city in Upper Swabia between Danube and Lake Constance. It is the largest city in the county Sigmaringen. Since 1990 Bad Saulgau has been considered Place with healing springs and spa facilitiesSince 2000 it has been called "Bad".

Saulgau was first mentioned in a document in 819. The place received city rights in 1239 and market rights in 1288. In 1299 Saulgau came to the House of Habsburg. In 1806 the city fell to the Kingdom of Württemberg.
