BahnRadweg Hessen - BahnRadweg Hessen

The BahnRadweg Hessen is not an independent cycle path, but connects existing cycle paths in East Hesse (Vogelsberg and Rhön regions. The length of the route is, according to official information, 245 km. About half of the route runs on former railway lines, the rest on existing cycle paths and side roads. The essentially new On this cycle path there is the new signage with a uniform logo. As part of the signage campaign, for example, the "Solztaldweg" was re-signposted as part of the route and also given its own logo.

  • Inline suitability: Suitable for most of the railway cycle paths (except for the Ulstertal cycle path, the southern railway cycle path, steep passages)

The cycle path is made up of the individual railway cycle paths and their connections with each other: Volcano bike path(together with the Bad Salzschlirf-Queck route), Vogelsberger Südbahnradweg, Milseburgradweg , Ulstertal cycle path and Solztal cycle path. Some railway cycle routes in the region were not included in the route, for example the Kegelspielradweg (Hesse).
