California (CA, also known as the Golden State) has been a state on the west coast of the United States since September 9, 1850 United States. The state has something for everyone: Southern California has popular attractions like Disneyland, Hollywood and the beaches of the television series Baywatch, while the north is more the land of the Golden Gate bridge, the hills of San Francisco and the vineyards of Napa Valley. Further away from the big cities are very large national parks, fantastic skiing and the northern forests. The lowest point in the United States is in California, in the Death Valley; 86 meters below sea level.
