Castro is a city of Lombardy, in Province of Bergamo.

Geographical notes
Castro is a town on the western shore of Lake Iseo, south of Lovere.
Background
Castro's etymology suggests that in Roman times there was a military camp (castrum). In medieval times a castle was built, the ruins of which are still visible today.

- Old parish church of San Giacomo. Dating back to the 14th / 15th century, today it is deconsecrated.

- Church of the Nativity of Mary. Dating from the 12th century.

13 and 14 September. Two days of tastings, crafts and music through the streets of the town. On Sunday it is possible to take a guided tour of the Tinazzo gorge.
