Gieboldhausen is a stain in Southern Lower Saxony on the northern edge of the Subfield.
background
The area of Gieboldehausen is located in the northern part of the country Golden mark, a natural area in Eichsfeld. The region is characterized by its slightly hilly topography and the many small villages around Duderstadt and the Seeburg lake as a quiet holiday region, especially for bike tours. The "Goldene Mark" cycle tour network includes almost 40 very well signposted cycle routes, most of which lead on quiet farm roads through the agriculturally used and almost industry-free region. Gieboldehausen is halfway between Göttingen and the western Harz.
Historically, it is an old place that was probably created as a clustered village before the year 800 and has experienced an eventful history over the centuries, especially with frequent changes in ownership. Gieboldehausen was named after 1450 stains, and was also granted market and brewing rights. Gieboldehausen was also a court venue for a long time.
As part of the Catholic Eichsfeld, the Gieboldehäuser Carnival Club is not uncommon, but its shape is somewhat curious Lutze, officially 11 1/2 in number who organize a lavish, albeit rather alternative, carnival celebration every year on "Feisten Friday", for which the tickets are highly sought after in the region.

Direct connections from Goettingen to Gieboldehausen (direction Duderstadt) several times a day, travel time approx. 40 minutes. Departure at the Göttingen bus station, bus platform E. From Duderstadt to Gieboldehausen return with the same line, travel time approx. 30 minutes.
In the street
From the north: The A 7 Leave at junction 67 (Seesen) and follow the B 243 for 33 km (direction Osterode, then Nordhausen). In Herzberg then on the B 27 and 10 km in the direction of Göttingen.
From the south: The A 7 Leave at junction 72 (Göttingen-Nord) and follow the B 27, direction Braunlage, for 28 km.
From the east: The A 38 Leave at junction 9 (large swaps) and follow the B 243 for 35 km (direction Osterode). In Herzberg then on the B 27 and 10 km in the direction of Göttingen.
Or alternatively: Leave the A 38 at junction 6 (Leinefelde-Worbis) and follow the B 247 for 30 km (direction Duderstadt, then Northeim).

By boat
