Hassmersheim is the southernmost parish of the Neckar-Odenwald district.
background
The community of Haßmersheim is located in the Neckar-Odenwald district on the left side of the Neckar. Geologically, it actually still belongs to the Kraichgau, but is also on the edge of the Neckartal-Odenwald nature park.
The formerly independent communities Neckarmühlbach and Hochhausen have belonged to Haßmersheim since 1972. Neighboring places are Obrigheim, Hüffenhardt, Siegelbach, Bad Rappenau, Gundelsheim and Neckarzimmern.

The next commercial airports are in Stuttgart and in Frankfurt
By train
The place is on the left side of the Neckar. The Frankenbahn but drives on the right bank of the river, there is also the 1 Haßmersheim stop. Local trains stop every hour during the day Mosbach-Neckarelz resp. Bad friedrichshall-Jagstfeld come. The connection is created by the Neckarsteg, a 140 m long and 3 m wide pedestrian bridge, it was released on September 17, 2014 and replaces the ferry.
In the street
On the left side of the Neckar, Haßmersheim can be reached via L529 of Hüffenhardt and the L588 of Obrigheim or from Gundelsheim. The next motorway entrance is the A6, 35 Bad Rappenau. Good transport links are also from the B27 on the right side of the Neckar in a northerly direction Mosbach or. Eberbach and Heidelberg or in a southerly direction Heilbronn. The (chargeable) ferry across the Neckar has been discontinued, motorists must use the bridges at Gundelsheim or Obrigheim.

- Combination tickets are available for visiting the museum and the Greifenwarte.
- It is also worthwhile to go for a walk only in the area of the castle and possibly enjoy the view over the Neckar valley towards Gundelsheim and Neckarzimmern from the castle tavern.
- Also worth seeing in Neckarmühlbach are a number of historical buildings like that old City Hall and the Maysack mill.
