Jagsthausen is a municipality in the Jagsttal Heilbronner Landwhich gained fame primarily through the knight Götz von Berlichingen.

Jagsthausen was already settled in Roman times, as the remains of a fort prove. It is mentioned in a document in 1090, from 1300 the family of the from Berlichingen first appearance. The place remains in the possession of these imperial knights until 1806, when it comes to Württemberg.
